The mystery Deepens....

The word is slowly seeping out: there may be a third candidate for Mayor.

The politicos are beginning to feel the rumbling that an alternative to either "our proven financial manager" or "is she really running" might pop up.

Of course, even if this individual decides to run, there will still be the minor issue of creating a viable campaign to make a credible run. The group behind this candidate doesn't have a great track record of late.....stay tuned!

Hearing From the Peanut Gallery

It never seems to occur to some politicians that hiding behind a screen name does not guarantee anonymity.

The recent Register article about the discussions over a new high school has about 11 comments so far...and some of them are intelligent and insightful. However, the usual suspects are chiming in as well, with their usual blather and bull...particularly about Carroll Brown.

Whether you like or hate her, Carroll Brown brought up a number of valid points at the meeting. Some of "anonymous" commenters feel it necessary to attack the messenger...because they can't attack the message.

If Chuck Marino thinks he can hide behind a fake name to make rude, devisive and racist comments, all I can say is, "Lotsoluck"!

UPDATE: Apparently, UpChuck is "outtaluck"....but it seems Sandy has lots. My bad! Speaking of racist:

Commenting on the Register's NHFD Supreme Court ruling, "lotsoluck" wrote:

"Can anyone show me a question on a civil service test, for police/fireman command rank position, that is written in such a way that blacks and/or latinos can not answer correctly. If you study the materials instructed to get, questions come from that material, you will get a list from the testing of those who truely (sic) studied. It is obvious by SUNDAY'S FRONT PAGE OF THE REGISTER that blacks and hispanics cannot comptete (sic) with whites in overall knowledge. THE REGISTER, had clearly printed, the number of whites, blacks and hispanics who took the test and who had passed the test. The number of whites who passed the test were in the double digits, while the blacks and hispanics who passed the test were, I believe, in the lower single digits. Same test, same opportunity for all yet why the disparity? You decide, but there is not lying in numbers. "

And -

" Next time I go to the hospital, or have my car worked on, I dont (sic) want the most qualified doctor cutting me open or the most qualified mechanic fixing my car! I want someone to work on me/my car based on diversity. To actually believe this statement, one would have to consider the mental state of the author. "

I'll Report....You decide, eh?
