As was reported yesterday, the Democratic Town Committee will try again tonight to endorse a candidate for Mayor. However....
The rules of both the local and the state Democratic Parties clearly require that a legal notice be placed in a local newspaper, inviting the public to attend. This was done for last Wednesday's meeting, but that was adjourned without a specific continuance date. This means the public notice cannot cover this new meeting; and therefore any endorsement coming out of that meeting is invalid.

SIGH......When will it all end?
UPDATE: As of noon, the State Central Committee has ruled the meeting to be legal...but no word as yet from the Secretary of State (who has to certify the endorsement.)
