Well, although all the petitions haven't been completely certified as yet, the Register is reporting that almost all petitioners will be on the September 15th Democratic primary ballot.
The lone exception is Nancy Rossi, who came up short in her bid to challenge the endorsement of John Picard.
So, for CITY-WIDE races, the ballot will probably look something like this:

Again, this is assuming that these challenger candidates actually have obtained the needed number of verified signatures (as is expected).
So, at present, they're basically just out of the staring gate...wonder how many turns (and twists) are coming up.

Hey Bob,
What is the process to get on the ballot if you wanted to run for city council? FYI - I am not registered as either a Republican on Democrat.
If you wanted to get on the ballot as a PETITIONING Candidate in November, the deadline has already passed. You would have been asked to obtain a small number of petition signatures of registered West Haven voters, and they needed to be into the Secretary of State's office by 4:00 pm on August 5th.
However, you can ask to have your name considered as a write-in candidate; you should go into the City Clerk's office for that ASAP.
The sate puts out an election calendar with important deadlines every year; you can download it from the CT.gov portal at:
